I've been having some issues with the D Moll of late. It started yesterday with the amp not firing up when I hit the power switch. I replaced the fuses in the Main and that brought it back to life and it was fine all day. Today however when inspiration hit and I hit the power it was out again and I assume the fuses are shot. The only thing that has changed in the past week or so is I am now powering a Midi Mouse via the phantom power. That shouldn't be an issue though no?

Pull the power tubes and see if the main fuse blows again

Thanks Peter. I'll try that and report back. Need to get some new fuses first as i'm fresh out.

Fuses arrived yesterday and i was able to check it out today. I've pulled the tubes and powered up with no issue. I then replaced the tubes and fired up, also no issue. So at present all good.

I haven't connected the effects loop and midi back up and that will be the next test.

Maplin always stock them if you ever get stuck for Diezel amp fuses.

Don't worry, both VH4's I have owned blew fuses within a couple of hours of use. I replaced them and they work fine.

In London Peter.

Haven't had any issues the past 2 days so I guess it's like Jimmy said and just a fluke.

To be safe on mechanical shorts push the
running power tubes softly with your nails.

Cheers to the big Iland
