HI,

I have some pedals and a TC Fireworx that I wanna run with my IE4, which doesn't have a loop. Which Looper or external fx loop do you reccomend me? I'm looking for somethin midi controlled that I can program like my old JMP's. You selected from 0 to 10 how much effect you wanted.

Cheers,
Jaime

Could you be a little more specific about what you are trying to accomplish? In most cases an effects loop is not necessary on a pre amp since it is redundant. Just hook the Fireworx in between the M4 and the amp and your done. If you want patches with out effects just write a program with nothing on it. Program the others with the effects you want. Or am I missing something?

I want to use a parallel loop between my IE4 (NO M4) and my Mesa Strategy power amp to add reverb/delay/chorus.
My Jmp had a loop both serial/parallel: with the JMP mix to 5 you were parallel, with 10 you were serial.
I totally satisfied with my IE4 (maybe someday I?l mod the 4 channel to more high gain oriented) but I need an fx loop.
I read the MOD50 manul about loops and I discovered a dual tube buffered loop for that, so here I writing to receive suggestions or reccomendations about the best external loop for my Eggie.

and I have the problem added of the TC delay changing patch silence....

I'm too lazy to type it again...

I know it has two outputs, but are they assignable to different modules? What I would want to do is have the specific modules going to different channels of a power amp or separate power amps entirely. That way I could use different tubes and speakers for the clean and high gain modules.

You'll need a line mixer to do this. Welcome to the world of pro audio. Soundsculpture switchblade is the end of routing your signal. Period. It's pricey though.

There are cheaper alternatives but I can't recommend anything else.

The Fireworx is awfully expensive ... I would think it has a mixer built in no????

Oh and the IE4 is a great unit, love channel 3. Great sounds!

NOPE, I wanna have my tone apart using it in a parallel loop. the "mixer" is digital inside so all it's digitalized.

I have the IE-4 and fireworx

You need a parallel signal, which could necessitate a line mixer. The IE-4 has a very strong, low impedance output. You can pretty much split it like crazy. Consider a switching unit for switching the Fireworx in and out.

The Fireworx has a VERY LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG switching delay. Worse than anything I've encountered, but it sounds awesome, and it's super powerful.

forget about an fx loop.

You mean a switcher like a MIDI controller? I do have the ENGL Z-15.

I'd like to know your experiences with Fireworx. If I don't use an fx loop, how I'm gonna mix my dry signal with fx?

I agree with the delay. This is why I miss my JMP fx loop: ya push the button, Jmp changed at light's speed and my fx came just a second or 2 later but....what a great delays/reverbs/chorus/special fx!!!!

NO!

midi switcher would be like a Digital Music Corp. GCX audio switcher, or a Switchblade, Uptown Flash, CAE 4x4, Rocktron Patchmate, Bradshaw RSB-12, RSB-18, etc.

preamp out A--> switcher----->power amp
switcher switches fx in and out in parallel

Ok, but could I use this switcher to convert the parallel loop to series loop adjusting the % in the switcher or what?

I'm totally new in this rack world, which is the cheaper/best quality one that you reccomend me?

many many thanx
