I've been looking for a recessed Floyd Rose guitar with a bolt on 14" radius neck, SSH, strat style, satin finish and I came across the G&L legacy tribute hb olive drab which looks to have all the features I am looking for. I've never played a G&L guitar. Any opinions on them?

The tributes are made over seas, but much like the mexican fenders, they are built well and play/feel like the pricy american made models. Nothing wrong with the tributes at all. Maybe a pup swap and youre in business. Not so sure about the olive drab though ;)

the workmanship on the tributes that i've taken a close look has been pretty good overall. i do think.. however.. that they would benefit from some additional setup work. it seems like they have a factory standard they they set them to.. and some additional tweaking may be needed.
i have a charvel that i've set up with pretty much the same type pup setup as the tribute with the exception of the single coil split on the bridge. i will say that the buckers in in the neck and middle positions are fatter and warmer than singles in those same positions.. but you can always change them to suit your taste.
