I have played the vintage modern cab with the G12C greenback.... that cab rocks to my ears... I have a chance to score a mint 1960AX with the G12M's...

I have done a ton of searching around and cant really come up with the BIG difference is other than the g12C's were orginally made for the Jimi Hendix cab...

Some one said on a forum that the G12C sound like a black back which doen not make sense I'm thinking because the G12C was made to be like the 1966 era cabs that Hendrix used and the black backs came out much later I think???

ANY OF YOU EXPERT TONE DEMI GODS HAVE ANY JU JU TO OFFER???

Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

supposed to be deferent than the M.

read some stuff over at Metro, supposedly from Steve D. at (Celestion or Marshall?) claiming that the he developed the C to go with the Jimi head and that C's are made to sound like Jimi's Holy Grail Cabinet.

seems like some of the current cabs come with English made speakers and others with Chinese, i'd wanna know that before pulling the trigger?

interesting...!

I like the look of the AX series cabs alot more then the purple Vintage Modern cabs... oh well...

What is the biggest differnce you find between the speakers though in terms of how they sound?

I have not done a side by side but the VM cab with the G12C's does sound pretty modern and brutal with a JVM head...

I have both and prefer the G12Cs. I have the Hendrix stack and those cabs sound killer with every amp I own. G12Cs are great.

Now, these are different than the Heritage 25s, correct ?

Also regarding what Moshaholic said, how do the Cs sound compared to the regular 25s ?
