Has anyone done the X with these speakers in a 1960 Lead cab?
Worth the effort? I have the speakers, just not sure if I want to go thru the hassle of gutting the cabs and wiring it up.

I've have that speaker mix in my two (non Marshall) cabs and love it. The other guitar player in my band has that combination in his Marshall 1960A and loves it also. I think it makes the cab sound MUCH fuller as you get the lows and highs of the G12T-75s and the big mids of the V30s. I'd recommend it and it is REALLY easy to do.

Yeah, hooking them up isn't the problem. It is getting the V30s out of my Avatar. I tried to open it up once and didn't see an easy way to get the front grill off without prying something between the grill and edge of the cab and I didn't want to damage anything.
I will probably give it a shot again.

I've got a JVM410H. Currently running it through a stock 1960A cab. Anyone running a JVM head through a cab with V30s and GT12-75s?

Curious if you thought it made any kind of noticable
improvement.
