hi,

just purchased a matched quartett of el34bht and a bias-socket-set from tube-town. put two of them into a 50W-amp and they showed different mA:
left:1st tube with 32mA, right: 2nd tube with 24mA

swapped their positions and got:
left: 2nd tube with 24mA, right: 1st tube with 32mA

swapped the bias sockets and got the same results... so i think the mA-values are tube-related.
are the tubes really matched??? could it be that they are b-stock? payed 12,50€ per tube (matched).... in most other shop they go for 25€.

sorry, was easy to misunderstand: i bought the bias sockets from tube town, but the el34s from wolfton audio. tested the other two tubes too. result:
1st tube: 24mA
2nd tube: 32mA
3rd tube: 22mA
4th tube: 27mA

is this normal?
