I gotta say, on its own its a good sound..BUT.. theres something about the gain structure maybe?? that just doesnt have Lynch's punch.
This is a bit too much gain, compression. I realize he said this was a Lynch "Inspired" patch but I would like to hear if the III can do a bit better.
sounds to me more like “mama don’t wanna go to school today” tone. seems when he turns gain down it’s better but when he turns up saturation and gain it’s saturated right at the pick attack. i feel like it sounds of course more digital saturation than tube saturation
The ULAK tone definitely has left
Gain and less verb delay IMO
That said the tone get close to some of George’s live tones like beast from the east
I feel another axe fx user Rocco got this tone closer
To me it’s a super lead , screamer
Greenbacks and a furman preamp
A lot of the slippery phrasing’s and note choices were. Spot on though
What do you guys think of my lynch tone? Might be a bit too saturated, but that's how i like it...
I used the Axe FX2 HBE model with a free guitar hack vintage 30 IR for rhythms. The solo was a Splawn QuickRod model and the lead fills after were a Mesa Mark IV.
