Wow, after seeing that video of Lynch playing the Linhof Tele in the desert recently, I figured well, Lynch is Lynch no matter what he plays.
But with the PRS, the tone is not what I associate with Lynch. Loads more fat, more raunch, less bite in the mids, a rounder bottom end, less clarity and less note definition.

I saw him playing that Whale Blue PRS at Bogarts in Cinci in '92.
I think he only used it for 1 or 2 songs though, pretty sure 1 was "Tie Your Mother Down".
His tone was unreal that night.
Too bad everybody else was there to see Warrant.

I saw him play one on tour in '92, his tech forgot to lock the nut and he hit the bar right away and it went out of tune; he seemed to lose confidence and the show was kind of stale- or it could have been due to my buddy getting on the bus before the show somehow and bs'd with him and he said George was braggin about how some vitamins made him fast etc and my buddy told him he better play good because Yngwie was just in town and tore it up. He said GL looked like hehad the wind taken out of his sail

Ive hit my trem bar lots of times and it stays in tune. I have never seen one with a locking nut.

I love George no matter what the hell he "feel like" playing that day!
I "preffer" him with the skull and snakes ripping out "kiss of death" though!
