For Sale: 2008 Gibson Les Paul Custom Historic Reissue. It's in very good condition with lots of honest play wear. I'd conservatively rate the overall condition as 8/10. There are several dents, impressions, scratches, marks, indentations on the top of the body, some worming on the back of the body, and one small indentation on the back of the neck near the 9th fret, high E side. This is not a mint condition guitar. There are several minor dents, impressions, scratches all over, but none thru the paint. The most noticeable dents and impressions are: 1. small pencil tip sized dent on top of the body, lower bout (see pic)... 2. several small impression marks, lines by the neck tone control pot and the bridge volume control pot (see pics). Looks like they were made by a previous owner trying to remove the volume & tone knobs. Overall the guitar is in very good condition for its age, with no breaks or repairs. It plays great and sounds amazing. The binding on the headstock, neck, and body is all perfectly intact. No breaks. Original frets in excellent condition. No flat or dead spots.
The original pickups have been replaced with an EMG James Hetfield Signature set. The original Gibson '57 Classic Pickups are not included, and the original wiring harness is not included either. The original black Gibson Custom Historic case, with plush red velvet interior is included. The case does have several stickers on it and the locks are somewhat rusted. The case still functions and closes perfectly secure. No case key included.
This is the more sought after '68 Reissue Les Paul Aged Authentic model with the aged chrome hardware, Grover Tuners, and white binding... not the beer yellow binding and gold hardware found on current models. The Aged Authentic models were Gibson's pre-cursor to the VOS models of today. With pre-aged hardware and pre-worn body finish direct from the Gibson factory. This 2008 '68 Historic Reissue has an 100% authentic dark, jet black ebony fretboard, with zero streaks and real mother-of-pearl block inlays.

• Neck specs: 1st fret: .91 inches and 1.01 inches at the 12 fret measured with my digital calipers (It's a thicker neck profile)
• Maple top on a mahogany body with a maple neck

• Non-weight relieved mahogany body with long tenon neck joint
