Gibson Les Paul Modern ??

anyone have one ??? likes ???? dislikes ???

I have my eye on one of the older Sparkling Burgundy ones with the black pick guard .....

I'm liking ..... the compound radius neck with the ebony fretboard ..... the cut away in the back

things I'm worried about .... too much weight relief ??
 
One of those has been for sale on my local FB marketplace for a while. On paper it looks like a winner to me. Only real gripe would be that I prefer jumbo frets. Lighter weight would be good as well. After two hours with my #1 LP at close to 9lbs slung over my shoulder, I am feeling my age these days! Have never actually played one though.

curious ..... what are they asking for the one in your area ??
 
To me, the modern just sucks the mojo out of a Les Paul.

If you want a modern Les Paul, I would go with an ESP Eclipse.
 
Here’s mine. Great guitar. I ripped out the pickups and wiring and wired it up conventional style with Slash V2’s

the one I'm checking out is under 2000 ....... I can't see the year in the pics though
