This is for sale at my local GC. Asking $999.00 which I believe is a bit high. Ive been intersted in one of these for a while and have never seen one in a natural finish. What do you guys think? Love it or hate it?
;)

Come on guys. ....just askin if you like the way it looks or not.

Nope. Just me though. It is different looking, but not for me. You dig it, get it.

Cool. It's different for sure. I appriciate the input

interesting , def looks 80's , not my thing, how does it play ? and sound .?

Didnt like em when they came out.....still dont. They are sorta rare.....not made very long.
But I still dont like them. :aww:

How does it sound, and play?

It is unique, but if it plays like shit, there is no sense in buying.

I like it, especially the reversed headstock, natural finish, and fret markers. Looks like it has great access to the upper frets. It would have to play like butter, have no fret buzz, minimal fret wear, and the pickups would have to sound great for me to pay a grand though.

I appriciate the input you guys. I wasnt trying to do one of those "should I buy it threads" ....as I find those quite irritating. Just wondering if I was the only one crazy enough to like this thing! Seriously, this thing plays like a dream. It's in great condition and looks like it didnt get played at all or very little. Super easy action, neck is great, excellent upper fret access and the switching is killer. Good strat type tones in the in between positions, and the 500 in the bridge is rediculous for higher gain tones. I just cant justify 1k for it, even though I have the cash. Im gonna let it sit and see if they get tired of looking at it. Steve

I haven't offered lower because the guitar has only been there for about a week. I haven't had good luck with that in the past. They usually loosen up after a month or so.

No. Don't like the look.

But, how does it play and sound?

I had a '82 Explorer II antique cherry burst, flame top, ebony fret board.
Wow, what a sound, and wonderful feeling neck, so smooooooth.
Looks like it's got an upside down Explorer neck, no?

Yeah, the neck is a reverse explorer. One of the nicest feeling necks I've played.

I like the look, maybe a grand is a bit much since I've never touched the thing but a double cut 80's super strat looking Gibson would be a cool thing to have in the old collection

Thats where I'm at with it. I like odd stuff like this and i've got a good collection of guitars going and i'm always looking to add something. The killer thing is this guitar is actually killer sounding and wont just sit around collecting dust. im heading back down today to see if i can get the price down.

Ibanez RG550's from 87 (First year) go for about 6-800, so I can see a much more rare and I'm assuming American made guitar would cost a couple hundred more... But it won't hurt trying to get the price down!

The neck shape on the ones I've tried was pretty nice. I'd wait a bit and offer less.
