Anyone have/played one of these? The one I am looking at has the maple neck w/ floyd rose trem, reverse headstock w/fin inlays. Any thoughts?

I have a Gibson M III - but a different version of it. I picked it up at the Guitar Center in Hollywood for $400 bucks brand new in 1996. I have the last version they made - which had Firebird style tuners. I'm not sure about the neck and body wood but it has an ebony finger board on a glue in neck and originally had three humbuckers. 24 frets on a 25.5 inch scale length. It had some sort of locking trem system that was basically a piece of junk. The rear spring cover is "L" shaped. I've changed it a lot...put an Ibanez Edge bridge on; had a custom pick guard made with a humbucker bridge and a single coil neck - two pickup set up. I got rid of the original tuners and replaced them with some fender Strat style tuners.
My M-III plays well and has a nice fat sustaining tone but the version that I have is probably very different than yours and would not be good to compare to the one you are considering.

i have 3 m3 les paul studio lites.
they're so far under the radar, most people call them junk and dont even know or understand what they are or how great they are to play. which is fine with me.

i know gibson had an m3 strat type guitar out too in the early 90s.

oh, sorry. sounds like you weren't referring to the gibby LP m3's...

I can post some photos but I need some instructions as to how to attach them.

hit "post reply" on the bottom left.

then, right above the post box, click the "Img" button

the code will come up ""

right
you paste your link from your photo in there.

or, if you're uploading from your computer, not a website like photo bucket...

down below the post box, theres and area that says "Filename" then a __________ "browse button"

click the browse button, find the pic in your computer, click it, click open, then, when it shows up in the box after "Filename" , click "add the file". "upload in progress" box will pop up and then you then preview the post to see if it comes up.

good luck

here are a few of mine.

I keep getting a message which says that my file is invalid...

Like this? Pictures are not mine but I owned one exactly like it in the 90's
Maple neck with a Mahogany body..
I liked the one that I owned, Played great except a little dark sounding to me only because I mainly used alder body guitars..
If I ever seen one for a good price I would probably buy it again..
I think I paid $599 for it new back then

I saw one of those on the bay a while back. Almost bought it out of my liking of obscure things.

OldSkoolNJ - The guitar you posted is an earlier version than my guitar.
My M-III is the last version that Gibson released of the M-III's. It has a headstock shaped sort like a slim arrow head - an ebony finger board with dot markers and "Firebird" style tuning machines with the pegs sticking out the back of the head stock. My guitar originally had three humbuckers and no pick guard at all.
I've been trying to post a picture but I can't get the file to load.
