Watching this SG on auction. Not exactly sure what Model this may be. Been wanting another SG since I sold My white one. Weird they only make certain colors of them now. This blue looks pretty sweet. Its super local to me, so I'm watching it real close. I went to use the Gibson Serial decoder page, not sure I was doing it right. Its either a 2013, or a 2019?? Any experts here? I didnt wanna join a FB SG page just for this.

Awesome! Thank you for the Help. I'll see how high it goes, a new SG Standard is $1799, so I'll keep that in mind, never played a guitar with a bigsby lol.

Despite the "upgrades"; Personally wouldn't pay more for it than a regular standard.
Gibson crowd is fickle if you decide it's not your thing, ime.

i would really urge you to look into bigsby tuning stability and other associated shall we say "quirks" of bigsby's before buying a guitar with one

This.

If you aren't familiar, please look into the amount of work you're going to need to do with both setup and maintenance

Bigsby's aren't unworkable (like a floyd) by any means, but they are a pain in the ass and you are going to need pencil lead or silicone lubricant of some kind.

i love how they look but absolutely don't care to do any work on them lol

so many times i almost bought a guitar with one but the more i realized how much works goes in, i just realized i'm better off admiring them on the internet and in stores lol

Me neither. Honestly, I'd pass on this altogether.

It's probably a tuning mess.. Look at the nut. You can tell somebody's used the shit out of lubricants, graphite, all kinds of shit smeared everywhere.. That's a red flag right there, for me.

Unless you want a Bigsby, just get a new SG Standard. I have a Standard '61, and I paid less than the regular Standard for mine, brand new.

Bigsby's are tone enhancers which leads me to my next thought of a telecaster shaped guitar but with "duel" humbuckers with a bigsby and an upside down James Tyler headstock.
