Global volume VH4

I recently purchased a VH4 new and really enjoy the amplifier. I’ve owned a VH4 in the past and always regretted selling.
Strange thing is happening when I first power on and start playing I get a volume jump an I’ve narrowed it down to what I believe is the global master
because if I lightly tap the volume knob the volume returns to normal. It might do the same again right away and i tap the knob again and the volume returns
back to normal again and seems to operate fine for the remainder of my playing session. Any thoughts ? Thanks.
 
Sounds like it could be a funky pot. Bought new? I'd suggest contacting Diezel HQ and ask their opinion.

I've had and have several VH4s (and a slew of other Diezels) and never had this issue.
