Well Eric,
Where are they? :gethim:

Sorry man....was on vacation and just got back yesterday. I'm in the process of reinstalling my recording computer, so hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday I can get that up and running!

Eric :)

Definitely looking forward to this.

If there's any way you can do back to back A/B comparisons with the SL channel B, or the EG5, EG3/4, just to give us a frame of reference.

Here is the reference point!

It's a SL2 with more high end grit and right smack in between the tightness of EG5 and SL2. It will not give you any reference against the SL or the 3/4. They don't have the same circuit. The board may be the same but the parts are not.

The best way to reference it is....SL2 stock in slot one and SL2(GnR) slot 2. Use your foot controller for a/a and b/b. :D

Oh ya...knobs at 12 and gain at 12, master at 12. Personal setting will make it less effective to hear and judge the change. We do the same thing when evaluating other modules. All knobs at 12 presence and density at 9. Best way to really hear if there is a difference in the modified one versus the stock one! No mirrors involved. You have all had the education of hearing the bright switch work extremely well when the gain is turned down and not when the gain is up. To truly evaluate a module and it's change, you need to gain it down.

Well...I can do back to back comparison ones of EG5 (stock), and a 500pf modded EG3/4

Cool, thanks Jeff! Great description.

Sometimes it's hard to tell by standalone clips. Since lots of tones are just variations on the "british high gain" sound, having them back to back really helps.

Send me your SL2 (stock) and I'll do clips! :)

I agree here man! Played the GNR module more yesterday...the more I play it...the more I love it. Stacks up REALLY WELL against the EG5. I use the GNR module for more of that mid-rangey Marshall tone...and the EG5 for a more punchy, grindy, mid-sagged tone.
