just playing it with the master volume around 3 o'clock on chan 3 standing 20 feet away.

FRICKEN BRILLIANT

I have the same setup, but hate the Mesa cab with Herbert. Today I loaded a G-Flex cab with an EV-12 Black Label and an Eminence MS-12.
MAMMOTH !!!!

With the Herbert I get a touch sensitivity that allows me to run the gain much lower than other amps and it's so chunky with a ton of bark.

the herbert is one of the most touch sensitive amps i have ever used IMO

do you have any clips of your new setup yet?

Yeah I loved my first one so much that I bought a 2nd one, and they are just crushing with the masters turned up.

You need PICS

Btw when are you getting a 3rd one with kt88 or 6550 ?? :D

I must say I love the Herbert as well. Yesterday I spent 2 hours on CH2 - and it was like a whole different amp. For some reason I really never experimented with the CH2- but it is awesome for sure. There are sooooo many different tones in the amp it is ridiculous.

I'm not done with the speakers yet. I may go with two EV-12L 200W or stay with the mix of MS-12/Black Label.
The MS-12 is 150W and the EV is 300. Both don't move much even with the Herbert's massive bottom.
