Like I said, I'm focusing way more on my own stuff lately, and that's pop blues, so I've been playing lots of blues, lots of pop, and getting the Einstein to sound as good as it can in the clean/ dirty blues tones.

MAN!! Peter you're a genious, this amp is incredible. I've had it for a long time and I'm indeed played popblues with it before but I hadn't really sat down and make it sound as good in that genre. I was most of the time trying to get it to sound heavy and mean..... jesus.

I opened up my cab (my cab can be closed back and 3/4 closed back), and the amp is already sounding beautiful! I cannot wait untill my Tung Sol tube arrives, this is gonnabe sick!.

I NEED to get my butt up and mod the amp with the Olaf mode mod, to get it's full potential.

Peter, seriously my friend, :worship:

I cannot wait to hear the VH4 once it's modded.

By the way, how was it that you could make the Einstein Midi switchable?

No genius .......... only born on Sunday :)

You need a midi switcher for Einstein using
the switching jacks.

Got no VH4 till now

Who's born on Sunday? I am born on Sunday too :)

Agree on Einy's ingenious design and sound. That reminds on how I found the country/country rock sound of it - was so thrilled that even put in on record .... and I am a total (dreaded :D ) metal head :D
Arghhh can't wait....when those new cabs will be finally finished? Want miiineee...

I sent it to:

Bed Steben, correct? the address that's in the Diezel Site (not the office, but the workshop)

sure Eddy

Clean:

Gain 2:00
Volume 1:00
Treble: 12:30
Mids: 11:30
Bass: 9:00
Presence: 11:00
Deep: 9:30

and the same with the texas mode but I lowered the volume a little bit (maybe 12:00 or 11:00)

The amp is running 6L6s by the way.

Very sweet and dweety sounding Joey!
Fender amps wish they sounded that sweet!

Hi Joey,
sorry, forgot to ask: What Strat are you using in that clip (espacially what pickups are loaded) and what fx-device?
It is really beautiful sounding!

Thanks,
eddie

Thank you again :)

I'm using a John Mayer Signature Strat, it's got "big dipper" pickups that John along Fender designed, and they have a "scooped mids" kind of feel and sound. You can get this sound with a normal strat lowering the mids a bit more than I have.

The fx is just my cheapo Boss ME50 multi effect running in the serial loop, nothing special there.

thanks scott!

btw, let us see more pictures of that baby girl once it's in your hands! (the new ESP)

Really tasty playing and brilliant sound! Congrats and thx again for sharing. By the way since i know you like John Mayer, i found the following lectures on Berklee.com which are just fabulous. I don`t know if you can have a look at them because i think you have to be a student to get access, but maybe you find a way.
