Going to see Big Wreck Tonight…

Even though this isnt the same band I saw, I have seen them like 20 times. Every time they were amazing. Such an underrated and underappreciated band. Ian is amazing, on guitar and on vocals. Criminal how good he is.

Have a great time!🤘

My friend went and saw them in Niagara Falls last night. We’re seeing them next month in Buffalo but I’m pretty sure it’s just Big Wreck (no Thornley set).

I first saw the original lineup in 1998 in a small club. A then-unknown Myles Kennedy’s band The Mayfield Four opened up. Both bands left a huge impression in that tiny place. Saw BW again in 2017 and 2019. They are incredibly good.

Wow what a show. I have seen them in the US a number of times and its always small clubs with not many people. They are a big deal in Canada. Thousands of people in this venue.

There are only a handful of guys that can play guitar as good as Ian Thornley. Of those, none of them can sing like him. The guy is a special talent and one of the best of this era.

Last fall he was still using a hedgehog and PT100 live. Whatever he’s using he sounded great. But I think the AxeFX makes things pretty easy live these days.
I don't see any mics on the cabs in your pic. They're probably just running them for some stage volume and feel.

When I saw them last, he was using all Suhr stuff if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure he had a sig model. That was only a couple of years ago. Looks like he's changed things up. I was thinking about going to the NF show, but I've seen a lot of bands lately, figured I'd save some money.

I try to catch them every tour because most of the time tickets are $30 or so. Which is a deal considering we are in the time of $150 tickets and up.

Glad you do that, and liked them! I haven't seen them this tour, but have caught shows in Watertown, NY, Albany, NY , and Boston and they're always fantastic. He's a hell of a singer and player that's for sure.
