Good effects unit

Hello people im new to this board and have just sold my single recto to buy a vh4 it will be here tomorrow. My question is im after agood effects unit not botherd about amp and cab models as ill be using me amps tone for that but i need a good delay and pitch shifter and so on. Any ideas ? i have about £300 £400 to spend i have been having a look at a g major and they seem pritty good. Must also be midi controlable.

how about the g major 2 whats the difference between the 2 they look the same on paper ?

2 must be the newest version. they haven't updated in a few years. Probably some USB / programming options not available before. Dunno though dude....
