So what are some good medium to high end guitars for heavy metal and rock, what about this https://bestelectricguitars.reviews/best-metal-guitars/? I'm looking for something anywhere from $500 up to probably $2000. If you know of any in that range, great, and if not just give them to me anyway. Nothing too crazy like all these blood spattered V's, nothing like that. But other than that sort of stuff any nice, non gory guitars.

Oh and if you could please tell me the price of the guitar in your reply.

Thanks in advance!

There are a bunch out there, but from what I've owned:

Balaguer

Mayones This has bee then best metal guitar I've owned.

For $2000 I would go ESP E-II M-II or if you wanna go cheaper, something like an Ibanez RG652 is around $1k

I think pretty much any solid body guitar in that price range will do metal.

USA Jackson Soloist. Depends on condition, but used under 2K.

But ESP, Charvel, Gibson etc etc ...all will do metal. Really the amp is more important than the guitar imo..plenty of options there.

Gibson Explorer has a nice, snappy feel for chugging and fast solos. Some good pickups help with the tightness.

Never realized the perceived difference that can occur between guitars in terms of whether I like them in a metal context until I cycled through a bunch. One example is an 06 LP studio that I've tried numerous pups in and hate for metal. Not so much the tone but the feel. Love it for classic rock, but it's just not right for my metal tastes at all. Plug it into the same amp, same signal chain, same pups and it's night and day against say the Mayo. The Mayo is much tighter, brighter, more attack to the notes, more punch, more articulate.

OP's first post... Hmm....
Interesting.

Are we supposed to take this serious?

Victor, your in boston? Get your ass to the Axe Palace and play some guitars. Figure out what you like.

I really hope he doesn't expect us to.

I want to drive. Could you recommend a vehicle? It just has to roll.

From Volkswagen beetle to a fucking tank.

Steinberger GR4 - does it all, does it well. I've owned one for 4 years and still love it and play it every day. It does metal great and can handle fender tones also. Super high quality, piano like acoustic tone, very solid, transparent tone. I use regular strings with an adapter.
