Picked it up from Indoor Storm at lunch, but had to go back to work, so haven't been able to play it yet :aww: Can't wait to plug in tonight!!!

You will love it! I have had mine for 4 gigs now and I get nothing but compliments on my tone!!!

STAT!!!!! :D

I can comply with #3 now. Maybe over the weekend I can work on #1 and #2 ;)

[Glowing Review] My first reaction was "WTF - You have GOT to be joking! How can this $1k amp sound so freaking awesome, and how can it be so versatile?!?!?" I was expecting a huge compromise compared to the modular stuff, but the difference really isn't all that big! This is a GREAT sounding amp, and it covers a lot of bases. Of course, it can never be as versatile as a MOD50, but I can easily dial in 6-8 distinct tones on this thing - between the Gain controls and the Tube Mix, you can really change the character of the amp pretty dramatically. Again, it's not as dramatic as popping a different module in, but dah-um!

Channel 1 is as advertised - a nice shimmery clean and can grunt when pushed. It doesn't really sound like a "clone" of anything - i.e. not really a T/D or BMAN sound exactly, but it can get into those territories depending on the settings to my ears, anyway.

Channel 2 is where this amp really earns its stripes, IMO. Everything here from SL low gain to SL2 crunchies and beyond. I cranked the Gain all the way and put it half way between 6L6s and EL34s, and I got a pretty decent Jerry Cantrell-ish Bogner Shiva-type tone. (And this was with a guitar that has vintage output Lollar P90s, no less!!)

I am thinking about picking up one of the new Line6 M9 uber-stompbox modelers and seeing how this thing takes pedals - I'm betting it will take them pretty well, as most Egnater stuff does. With the M9 and the Renegade, you can cover a buttload of tonal acreage. [/Glowing Review]

Well done Bruce and Jeff! :worship:

Thanks we tried to make it the best bang for the buck that we could!

Mission accomplished. Blows everything else I've tried in this price range away - even blows away some I've played in the 2X price range!

I also hoped this would be the case!

I've tried telling that story as well. Glad you are diggin' it. I had one at the house for several hours and it's crazy good. I said if I didn't have the Mod, I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat.

The only bad thing with the line 6 is that you have to use a four cable method to get the over drives in front of the amp and I had the M13 and it did suck the tone out of the amp. But that was with the Randall RM 50

Well that's kind of a bummer. Maybe I should just get a couple o' "real" pedals instead. I mean, I don't really use a ton of effects live anyway....

I don't think the M9 is even capable of 4CM. It's a simple stereo in, stereo out. Left in is mono and left out is mono. I almost bought one today, but I gotta have about 60 of my own. The thing is there's only 24 "patches" / they call'em scenes I guess.
