Hi,

I have purchased an Egnater Rebel 30, it's a cool amp ! This is perfect for carrying, I grew tired of moving my head and 4x12 cab.

I was wondering if the wattage control was based on London power scaling ? It works very well and changes the feel of the amp.

The only thing I am not "liking" is that there is too much bass for my taste. I keep the bass knob at 1 for now.

Agree with the Bass heavy sound. I typically run my bass settings at 1/4 or below on both channels.
I also have the ext cab, which seems to add even more bass than the combo by its self.
Its funny, bass is the hardest thing for me to dial in on my Rebel 30.
If I run fat it's to much and if I run tight its not enough or I don't care for the tone.
So I run fat at about 1/4.
But I do love this amp very much! This is THE for amp me.
I was looking at the Eminence Man O War speaker for my 1x12 cab. Seems like it might boost the upper mids and tame the low end.

I have a 4x12 with greenbacks, not sure if this will cut the bass a little bit. I also have a boss eq pedal that I could add in the loop... it will try that..

I understand this amp has a more modern tone, so more bass and low mids. I am a Marshall guy so I'm used to a different sound !

use the tight switch to tighten up the bottom end as well. really cleans it up on my head.

What I've had good luck with using my Rebel 30 is running an MXR 10 band EQ on my board out front past my volume pedal....You can really tweak the EQ to your liking....I use it with the bass lowered a bit, and the low mids up a bit.....Not a lot...just a little, and it sounds very musical unlike the Boss GE7's I've had in the past....Playing only Humbucker/set neck guitars, things can get a bit bass heavy with the Rebel 30, as well as my Marshall Haze 40 combo...I think that Egnater probably found some sort of neutral ground where he tuned the amp to sound good with single coils and Humbuckers
