I finally got a matching cab for my Uberschall. I am very impressed with the build quality of it. I now see why people say it has a more 3d and full effect than other cabs. Upon preliminary recording, I was trying out micing the g1275 first and then going back with a miced v30 and the g1275 was very harsh sounding on its own. But when you put the v30 on top of it they really do compliment each other very well. I have the newer front loaded 16 ohm version. I do have a question though, I see people running 2 of these cabs with a single head sometimes. How is that possible with 16 ohm cabinets? Anyways heres a few pics of my updated rig.

I too find that you have to find the right blend of 75 and V30 for it to not sound harsh. But once you do, man alive...

BTW, PM sent.

Yes thanks. It was only 9 numbers up from yours. They were probably born on the same day. Was it you that traded my rev 2 for the roadking? I still can't get the damn reverb working correct in that thing.

yea the cabs look like twins.. way cool..
What did the amp doc say on the RK reverb?
still need to make it right for you...
Rob.

Sweet cab, I got one about 2 weeks ago, love it! Running it with a splawn with all V30s, think I've found the perfect blend

I may re-load one of my Fryette 4x12 cabinets (FL) with V30 + G12K to create my own UberKab design. I think the potency of the cab has a lot to do with its build quality and internal dimensions. It's a stellar cab. I don't think the GT75s would sound good in anything else; hence my thoughts on going with the K100s. But ya, the Uber head with the Uber cab? Nuclear man.

I got this cab a year ago and it's my fav cab to date.Sounds amazing mic'ed up in my studio.

You mic'ing 1 of each speaker??

I've tried doing that- one 57 on the V30 and the 75. I've had mixed results. I bet it would be better with a different mic rather than two 57s.

Just finished up trying out the sennheiser e-609 on the g12 and the 57 on the v30. Does sound pretty sweet. Still refining exactly how I want to record it, but it is an improvement over the dual 57's.

Try replacing the t75 with greenbacks --> best cab ever!
Seriously, that improved the sound of the cab by 300%!
No more fizzy highs, no more weird mids, just tight awesomeness

What, you knocked out the G12T75 cones with 25W Greenies in an UberKab? Seriously?? They played nice with the otherwise overbearing V30s??

Interesting... You've got my creative juices flowing here, Lasse.

yup, exactly what I did, improved the overal sound A TON (the Greenbacks need some breakin in though).

here's a clip of that cab, both speakers mic'd
