Got my modules back from Dave F. WOW!

That's all I can say. I sent Dave 2 Egnater single channel modules, an SL and an SL++. I had the SL modded to a C45 and the SL++ to an HBE.
These things flat out kill! The best Marshall sounds I have ever personally had. If you dig the brown, slinky EVH tones, it is in here in spades! Lots of other flavors in there too.
Each module has a voicing switch which used to scoop the mids. Dave modded the SL to tighten up the C45 voicing a bit, and on the SL++ the switch takes the HBE to a Brown eye type of gain and voicing. Dave worked his magic on these, they are nothing like what I sent him. He even swapped out the red LEDs and put in blue. I couldn't be happier with the results.
I will try to get some clips posted tomorrow, but I will tell you that these sound just like the clip he posted a while back.

If your thinking of getting any modules modded, do not hesitate!

I've been considering getting my SL2 modded to HBE but I'm still on the fence. I don't want the EVH tone and I'm afraid that's all the HBE will do. Can you clarify with some clips what kind of range the module has? I'd like to get a tone similar to Slash on Appetite, basically a nice high gain Marshall sound. SL2 sound great now, but it's just a little too smooth for my tastes.

Thanks! And congrats on the mods. Looking forward to the clips!!! I'm curious to hear how different the C45 mod sounds from the stock SL.

It does more than the EVH tone. I would say the C45 is more EVH than the HBE. The HBE I have NAILS the Slash tone. With a Les Paul it's money.

I hope to have some clips up by the weekend.

I couldn't agree more. I had a Dual SL modded to a Brown Eye and a Dual EG3/4 modded to a HBE and they are permanently in my amp.
The HBE does a lot more than EVH, it does Appetite in spades as well. As Dave said it is a GREAT Marshall Tone.
Dave took some killer modules and made them incredible!
I just sent him my Erect & EG5 today to do his magic!

Is anyone aware of a webpage/post that compares all the available mods for the dual channel M4 modules? I love the SL2 CH B and would be looking for something in that range but different for variety. The Custom45 clip I heard from Pete Thorn (i.e., of a modded Marshall super lead reissue) is my favorite clip of a Friedman mod so far - if I could get that in an M4 mod I'd be very happy!

I would contact Dave. He is very helpful at getting you the tones you want and can give you the run down on what he can do with the mods.
That being said, the custom 45 and HBE are some of the best Marshall tones I've had the pleasure of playing.
