Looking for a eq for my effects loop on my Mk III.

Should I go GE-7 or a para eq? What would be the differences ???

affect more frequencies on the para eq, say roll off highs past 12k , it'll dip all of them down

specific frequencies on the graphic (usually quite guitar specific on them pedals, 100, 200 , 400 , 800 , 1600, 3.2k , 6.4k)

if it's just to leave on in the loop, i'd go for the danelectro fish & chips eq, much cheaper and far less noisey, to be fair i'm not sure there are many parametric eq pedals out there (empress para eq..but pricey) or otherwise you're looking at a rack unit

I have a GE-7 and boss made a pq4 para eq. My GE-7 has the sniper mod and is dead quiet and makes a great boost also.

The empress para eq was one I was looking at but wasn't sure if I would get more out of the GE-7

i am a parametric freak. i will always start really dialing in freq and q rates to find what i am looking for. decades of exp with them.

that said, if i want a quick fix, grab the graphic.

So I guess I will grab a para eq and go from there.

That said I do have a Para Eq on my Ibanez UE405 and in front of the amp doesn't seem to do as much as the GE-7.
