hiiiii! thanks for listening.

I'm trying to get a foothold in this forum- i guess i can get some credit by posting music that... sounds good? riight?
 
I really enjoyed that. :thumbsup: Kind of like Industrial/techno/folk music. I really dug that NIN "March of the Pigs" drum sound :lol: :LOL: . Cool stuff. Keep it comin'. :thumbsup:

i've been in the recording game for years! agh! haha, i'm trying to get a vocalist so i can take my music to the next level... as is.. the instrumentals are cool, and i enjoy listening to them myself [the music i make is primarily for myself] but i'd love to be able to take this on a bigger scale, i'd love to be able to profit from it all.

if you check my soundclick page there are a shit ton of tracks!

the DAW is FL Studio 9

real acoustic guitar mixed halfway with omnisphere acoustic guitar sims [i like a hi-def guitar tone]
bass is a bass.

the clarinet is EWQL gold
drums are big fish LA sessions 2 as well as a 909 bass drum pack

did i miss anything?
 
So are you doing all of this ? .... or are other people on here. I am checking out some of you clips now.

100 that is a lot. I hear that dissident edge on a number of tracks. I have always like that sound. It is a little more real. What is a long time ?

striving for a high-quality sound for the past five years, composing for the past ten years, playing an instrument for the past 18........ i started young : D

Most of the clips I have of me are still in analog. I started playing when I was six. I am not so interested in famous myself. I just would like to do something memorable. It is cool to hear something here with a little more depth. Why do you not sing ? I work with people that are much better singers than me, my voice is ok at best.

i don't sing because i can't sing, are you familiar with joanna newsom? yeah... that, x100thousand. i've had training and even with that.. not happening. i'm trying to collaborate with people on the internet, but nobody pulls through.. everyone gets excited about it and then disappears off the face of the earth.

all i need are vocals to kick this up to the next level.

analog, i remember back in the day when all there were were portastudio type deals where you had to do everything in the box [for us home recorders on a budget] that sucked completely. i'm so glad i'm capable!
 
I like her voice for what she does .... emotion is much more important for me than the rest.

People are like that every place. It is always difficult to find people to work with. Finding a vocalist is the most difficult part for most bands. Your music is good enough .... I am surprised you can not find someone to work with. What would you want from a vocalist, do you write lyrics ?

believe you me, i'm not a singer.

I'm actually a writer, I do a lot of analytical, human behavior, anthropology-type work mixed in with poetry. I just want a vocalist, if they're write, that's fine, or if they just want to sing what i write that'd be fine too.. i'm looking for a professional sound.. the music may sound modern, but I really don't want to go with what modern chillout-electronica-ambience vocals are like.. i.e the whiny/emo/high pitched vocals.

grumph. i tried putting a craigslist ad out for a vocalist but now they require a phone number.. and apparently mine is already in use in the system.. so, looks like i'm out of luck in that department.

I know several singers .... I well run it by some of them. Can I check out any of your writing ?
