Did another recording, because after Matt said the recordings were a bit dark, I agreed, and went back to the drawing board.
So, I tried a different mic'ing technique than I've done before in the grendel to get a bit more bite on the top end, and did it w/ a K100 in 1 grendel.
1 SM57 right in the middle of the dust cap.
1 SM57 off-axis 45 degrees off of the cone.
I think it is the most aggressive tone I have gotten to date . And the biggest!!! Thanks Matt .
EG5 is the rhythm tone, and EG4 is the lead tone.
What do you all think?
