Anyone have / use a Gretsch?

Found a good deal on a new G2627T Streamliner (3-pickup,, centerblock, bigsby) , thought I'd give it go. Still acclimating in the box for a few more hours.

I have a few Rics (semi-hollow) I've owned for many years, and a D'Angelico EXL-1 hollowbody jazzbox, so the Gretsch may be redundant with the Rics.

I played a sparklejet that belonged to a buddy, and a couple of their hollowbodies in stores. I liked the sparkejet quite a bit, and the HBs were mostly ok.

I liked the Gretsch Malcolm Young guitar that my friend used to own. That single Filtertron pickup in the bridge position of that guitar, the jangle, twang, and shimmer that guitar made, and his Marshall JCM 800 2204 amp head had a great rhythm guitar sound for that AC/DC tone.

sent it back, looked like it was an open box when I purchased new, getting a refund.

my other Independence Day 2023 guitar (a Jackson) arrived today, I let it acclimate a few hours, looks good, will see tomorrow in the sunlight.

I've got a G5622T which I really like. I installed TV Jones classics for the full 50s filter'tron experience
