Guitar body mods?

I got a guitar I wanna experiment on. I feel the shape is a little too normal, I think I wanna modify it (like nuno) and sorta slim down the entire body to make it look more thin and 'vertical' sorta speak.

Do you guys think custom/repair shops would do this for me? Or would they tell me i'm crazy?
 
It would probably cost you as much as a new guitar. But, if you like it, who cares :D.
