Just got my first explorer last week in a trade. Scored a 2016 Gibson Traditional and it plays and sounds killer. Came with an Anderson H3, and what a great pickup.

I have/ had a white one, one of my first nice guitars. I bought it 91 and now its all yellow cream old Gibson colored. The white pick guard kind of looks strange against the yellow. I'll never get rid of it but I have to say i'm not too crazy about the cream color...

I wanted one bad a couple years ago. Got a really nice one and played it for a few days before putting it back on craigslist. I couldn't get used to the body shape and the way my right arm had to rest on it. I realllly wish I liked it, they look awesome and sound killer.

A Destroyer yes. I know Explorers are great. But my first real guitar back in 82 was a cherry sunburst Destroyer. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a vintage Destroyer for sentimental reasons lol. An old drummer of mine from the 90s collects Vintage Explorers...I've got to get over there and take a pic of his collection..

I had an explorer like that of Brendan Small & Dethklok, but with mick Thompson blackouts. It was ok, not a fan of the shorter scale length though, it didn't like the lower tunings. I do miss my Jackson Kelly though, been thinking of getting a USA Kelly!

I had a Kelly with a Floyd in the 80s and it was nice but I just never bonded with it. It was quite neck heavy and never sounded or played as well as the RR Custom I bought just before it. Don't regret selling it but selling that RR Custom (#261 IIRC, Red metal flake lol) was my biggest gear regret.

I think I have 11 guitars, or maybe 10, but yes I do wish I had an Explorer also a Gibson V. I'll snag 1 of those eventually.
