thought I would bring up guitar stands, years ago I use to use a regular old guitar stand, one of my guitars took a nose dive and cracked the neck (had it repaired), never again I said, so I invested in a ULTRA CASE
guitar stand, pretty expensive ($450.00) for this size, but at times I can have over $5000.00 worth of guitars in that stand, they are totally secure and right there for easy access, and I can have 4 guitars in a pretty small space on stage, it also folds up nice into a very small case, built very tough. just about every professional guitarist has them, they make them in 4,6,8 guitar stands, here is a couple of pics of mine, and a link to the site, well worth the money, they also make the tech boxes you have probably seen,

i keep thinking about something liek this but i only take 2 guitars to a gig as it is. and between sets i leave them in my gigbag not on a stand. even if i did want to bring more guitars i just wouldnt have the room for a setup like that, and we play some pretty big bars.

Hey thanks for posting this. I have thought about this in the past as well but thy have always looked kind of cheap. That looks very sturdy. I almost bought this one a few weeks ago but wanted to see what else was out there.

I only take 3 guitars so this holds enough but what I could not tell from the picture is how the upright part is put together. Is it just a fold out thing the sets in there or is it braced like the one in the first post.

I have a 5 space Warwick Rock stand that we set up somewhere on stage. How do those higher end stands do with "pointy" guitars (Explorers/Jackson Kelly)?

I have seen these kind of stands for some time and the only thing that bothers me about them is that the instrument is resting at some point on the neck.

I have been using Quik Lok's for some time and have yet to have one fall out of, or be knocked out of, the stand. I have a a few close calls where they were tilting in the stand but never have had one fall out which I believe goes to their good design. In particular I like that the instrument is held from the bottom. Also I should note that I have never had an instrument damaged by the stand.

I use the QL-631 for my electrics and a QL-632/633 for my acoustics.

it's not resting on the neck, it's resting on the body, money well spent
