I think i posted this in the wrong section earlier. didn't know there was a section for just clips...
very quickly thrown together song with the tube distortion pedal i just got today. the song is called Jack by Iced Earth. i was trying to get as close to Schaffer's rhythm guitar tone in that song as i could. pedal is a Guyatone MM-X Metal Monster tube distortion pedal. they were discontinued in 2005 but i managed to find one on ebay in excellent condition. the guitar on the right side was done with a slightly different tone and my Maxon OD-9 overdrive pedal pushing the front of the tube pedal. guitar is the Ibanez RG321 w/the Seymour Duncan Blackouts. both pedals were ran into my DF-7 distortion factory (bypassed) going di from the DF-7's cab emulated output to the computer. wish i had a better cab emulator so that it wouldn't sound as grainy on the top end. should have also tracked a few more rhythm sections. could have sounded a lot thicker.
let me know what you think. i think it sounds pretty decent for not being mic'd in the slightest and only 2 rhythm tracks.
no post eq or effects; just mixed and panned.
3 tracks; 2 rhythm and 1 lead panned center
