First off, I have to thank Ralphie, H and Omar for helping me get the rig sussed out and for coming out as well as Danny Hops and his girl and Doug from Dougs Tubes...

The Gig was a Blast!!! It was a benefit for a Motorcycle Club thats made up of retired and active duty NYPD. One of the retired Sergeants has a young grandaughter that is going through Leukemia and even with coverage, the family is still getting hammered with costs. Our bassist is friends with these guys and when they asked if we could play, we were all down for it...

I had a friggin blast and we got assloads of compliments. We did pretty well considering that it was our first gig and that we havent been together all that long. I had a crazy case of the nerves so I beered them away and then the owner of the bar starts pouring me JD shots between the first and second sets. Lets put it this way, I had some great playing moments and some not so great playing moments LOL but then again, I wasnt the only one.

There was one time when I wanted to run out front( I had my wireless) but we were so cramped ( and I was GANKED) that I ran right into the PA column with my guitar!!! Ralphie and Dan were laughing their asses off and thankfully , I didnt damage my baby... Then there were switching mishaps; Wanting lead and getting Clean, Feedback.... all kinds of fun stuff

Good friggin times; It feels great to be back in the saddle again!!! The Bar owner wants us back, the Motorcycle club wants us to do more gigs for them and Im stoked to be playing live.... Good times indeed

(Note to self, relax on the intake next time!!!)

Awesome man! Good to see your playing out again. Confusius once said (or was it Ian Anderson) you're never too old to rock and roll.

I was waiting for you to post about this maiden trip (sort of). Sounds like you guys did a good job AND had fun and free drinks, what´s more to want on a Saturday evening?

That is Awesome to hear Kage!

Sounds like a blast and I am sure nobody even cared about the flubs :)

I am quite certain when I get back on a stage, I will be one nervous MOFO (notice I said when, not if ;) )

That's what I'm talking about...unfortunately since you're about to become a working muso you cannot have the word "world-class" next to your name. :)

Hey Yoeri!!! It was actually a day gig and we got on at about 145 in the afternoon, I was hammered by 215pm!!!

had a few equipment issues, well not really. I was using my pedal board and Ralphs Ground control and it was bit awkward, I stepped on the wrong patch several times but everything worked just fine. What was funny was that Ralphie had set my Lead patched with the Volume cranked so that when I stepped on that, I went from loud to Flamethrower!!! He went in and dialed it down and it was fine after that...

All in all , it was great, Im just not going to drink as much next time out...
