Hagen Channel Switching

I need to find a decent way to switch channels on my Hagen without spending too much money.

I have some MIDI controllers but they are old and won't take phantom power. These will work, but I'd rather have something that is super easy to set up... my defunct original band is getting back in the saddle to play a music-fest thing in Cleveland and as you guys know, we will have .0005 seconds to set up, and I'd rather spend more time playing than trying to hook up a MIDI device to AC power at the front of a stage.

Anyway, I have this 3 button Randall switch (RF-3) that I use with my CCV. I know they have 4 and 5 button versions, but I know I will only need three out the 4 channels on the Hagen. I plugged this thing in last night, and it gets power, but the switching is random as far as I can tell. For example, the channel 2 button might switch to channel 1, but if I manually switch to channel 4 and hit button 2 again it might switch to channel 3 with master 2. I tried to program it, but it does the same thing.

Does anyone know a workaround to this? I can buy a MIDI Moose or something, I know, but I am not into MIDI stuff to any great extent and just want to switch channels as easily as possible.

Thanks

You can get a Diezel FS7HA footswitch. I've know idea what they go for in US but that would be the easiest and most reliable way to have all Hagen functions at the tip of your toe.

He's probably already tried. I need one also but they're next to impossible to find.

Also, where and when are you playing in Cleveland? I'd love to come out and hear that Hagen. :D

My best guess would be the Midi Moose would do the trick. No external power supply needed.

I'm sure another Diezel user with more experience will reply soon

We're playing the Cleveland Music Fest with 10,000,000 other bands, LOL. Anyway, its Friday, September 7th in the evening but I have no idea of the exact time yet. We are told that we will play at "a" stage at the House of Blues, which probably means the Cambridge Room, or worse, if there is another place they might squeeze a band.

If I can't get the Hagen switching sorted by then I will likely use my CCV.

I used the midi mouse with my hagen for a long time.. works great and you can use phantom power with it so you don't have to have external power source..
That's the best deal price wise, you can get one for about 100 bucks on ebay.
The footswitch Peter is making is super bad ass. I have one for my Dmoll but they are hard to get.

Bankable, 4 Presets per bank, phantom powered, not too big, affordable, great build quality.
