First off, a big shout out to Griff10672 for making the wood shell face for me. I was having the worst time figuring out how I was going do this idiotic project. He was a huge help in not only making the wood face, but he made a template for the Marshall logo mounting prongs.
This is a Brent Gutierrez Langner modded 50 watt 800 with a metro zero loss loop and a depth knob. Been an absolute crushing unit since I got it. I thought getting the Hanneman face done would be easy, but alas I was wrong.
I first hired a graphic designer to recreate the art so I could have it printed on canvas. It took 3 design attempts and 5 canvas prints before I had a finished product I thought would work. Then the first attempt to mount the canvas on the wood face plate was a disaster. The adhesive bled through the canvas and destroyed the print. I quickly cut off another print from a different canvas and lined it up as fast as I could and laid it out. Couldn't belive I got it on straight. Once the Marshall logo and piping were on, I sat and stared at it...grinning like an idiot. Big shout out to Mike(juggernaut)who not only helped with this portion of the project, but hooked me up a decade ago with Brent to mod the amp itself.
Today I went back to Bloodrock's house to put it on the amp. Still can't believe how cool this amp is. We plugged it in and we're both still blown away by how good this amp sounds...and how cool it looks.
So here it is, along with my Kerry King head that he borrowed from me to play the Dime tribute at ozzfest in 2008 in Dallas. He played it at the rehearsals at Vince's house the night before the show and signed it while there. Two great amps that belong together.
