Has anyone compared a Bogner UberKab to a Bogner Standard?

I've owned both of them, and they both sound awesome. The standard cab seems a little bit tighter sounding and has more high end. The only thing I didn't like about the Uberkab is when I miked up a V30 to record, it didn't sound right to me. Like the G12T75's were interfering with it, and making it sound different and not as good to my ears.

Ahhh, okay. Thanks for replying. I don't want a cab that's a little bit brighter, so it sounds like I should keep the cab the way it is now. I think it sounds badass, so I'm not unhappy with it or anything. Just curious... :)

Yeah, they both great in person, I just like how the standard cab records better. You could just swap the 2 75's for V30's if you want to try it and see how it sounds, then just put it back the way it was if you don't like it.

Oh and you bought that black grill frame from Brent right?

i've not owned either but played them side by side...the uberkab sounded a little brighter and clearer to me

the standard cab was a bit thicker sounding but didn't quite have the clarity (especially in the lows) that the uberkab did

they both sounded pretty killer tho no doubt...for what i was looking for i preferred the uberkab

Exactly the difference.

My God people – how many years have you played through 75s and 30s? It's not rocket science to know what the outcome will be considering they are identical cabinet construction.

Chris,
My experience with the uber cab is limited, but from what I remember I wouldn't say the standard cab was brighter. It sounded tigher with more pronounced mids, but I wouldn't have said brighter. Others might disagree with me but I thought the standard cab sounded more balanced than the uber cab as well.

I have owned both, though not at the same time.

THe Uberkab is not one that I would buy again. Very good cab, btu I just don't like the tone added by the 75's. The traditional Bogner cab is a great cab. In fact I am considering buying another (or an old Mesa metal grille cab).

Of all the v30 loaded cabs I have ever used, my favorites are:

Voodoo amps 4x12 with v30's
Bogner

In that order.

I A/B'd the 2 with an Uber(Rev. Blue). never owned either. with that head, I liked the Uber cab better. oh, I think the standard cab was a slant though. the mids were too bright for my taste with the standard. coulda been the slant adding to it. normally I like V30 loaded cabs alot better and I love mids. I was very surprised i dug the Uber cab more....I HATE 75's. It worked well with the head though, so I don't really know what to think about it
