Hi all...has anyone tried the New Sensor Mullard 12AX7 reissue yet?

http://www.dougstubes.com/images/Mullard%2012AX7RI.JPG

If so...what are your thoughts about it and how does it compair to the Tung-Sol 12AX7 reissue?

I'm thinking about buying one from Doug and trying it in V1 and 2 of my amp but I'd like to try to get some user feedback first.

-thanx

I just got them into stock, but haven't tried them yet. I'll be checking them out this week. They are not the same tube as the Tungsol.

I'd like to know about this too! I just ordered a tung-sol for the V1 slot in my 5150 and wouldn't mind trying some others as well. Consider this a bump!

Hey!...thanx for the replies!

I emailed Doug and he wrote back that he thought the Mullard R.I. seemed to be "a bit more forward and aggressive as compared to the Tung-Sol reissue."

what its "a bit more forward" ?

well, english its not my first lenguaje and thanks for your help

I got a couple from Doug from Dougs Tubes and I am really liking them. They are thick and very 3D like the Tung Sol 12ax7. So far they are one of my new favorites.

i havent tried the new sensor, but the groove tube mullard reissue 12ax7m's are wonderful for my taste.

I just got a couple from Doug this week and stuck them in V-1 and V-2 of my marshall VM and I LOVE them. They are VERY similar to my real Mullards with a creamy, thick but musical tone BUT MUCH higher gain. I like them better then the GT 12ax7m and have no problem paying 20 bucks for a tube of this quality. One of my new favorite current production tubes without a doubt...Give them a try.....................John

How would you compare them to the GT 12AX7M? I've currently got two of them in my Diezel Einstein and they seem to cut back on the gain a little which is a really good thing in this amp.

I finally got a chance to try a couple new Mullards in a Valveking I modded and they crushed the EH tubes that were in the amp. Much smoother and more focused.
