Has every module already been done?

I mean, what else is there to sound like?

How many more flavours of Marshall and Fender need to be done?

This is about it for other sounds I would want in a module:

EG 1/2
Mesa Quad/Mark 2c+/3/4

Mark IV for me, and the XTC module would be cool...but a Mark IV type of module is one of "last tones" I really see needed in the module line.

Tons of Marshall / Fender tones for sure! :)

An EG 1/2 would be great!

Maybe something like a Krank inspired amp... (A: rythm channel B: Lead)

And Maybe something adapted for low tuning? (even if I don'y play low tuning, a module with an eq shapped for it may be interesting)

It's maybe a little modern for the "Egnater Spirit" but why not...

And why not a 2 channels module that let us use the 2 channels at the same time with a mix conrol?

And why not modules that would reproduce a sort of pedal + a specific amp? What I say is maybe weird but when all the "Hall of Fame" amps will be modded (it will take some years I think...), what will be the evolution of the modular concept?

There's always the Hiwatt and Orange/Matamp territory available. Killer amps but neither were as popular as Marshalls and Fenders back in the late '60s and early '70s.

2 channel module that lets you use 2 channels at the same time...never gonna happen. The M4 / Mod50 would have to be totally redesigned to do that. If you want / need that, then get 2 M4s to do that.

The second idea is interesting, but is easier done w/ just getting the pedal and a pedal switcher! :)

I know I know... I am a dreamer :D

But are your thoughts for the future?

yeah...they are...but i'm realistic here ... ahahahahaha ;)

Bruce could produce is own vision of a TS9 by example and include it in a module. It would be switchable with a CC by MIDI...

which would require a total redesign of the Midi portion of the M4 and Mod50 though.

Sign me up for an EG1/2 as well. TOL cleans are rediculously good.

In terms of tones not on the modular market, not much is left that hasn't yet been done by either Randall, Salvation, Pete, Friedman, Voodoo and the Egg Heads. Modding your lineup is the next evolutionary step logically. After several months of playing on the Randall Deluxe and A/B'ing with the Egnater stuff, I was able to determine what I thought it was lacking and shipped it off.

Now what I find I am craving is customization. I want a push/pull pot on certain functions, a custom faceplate, a switchable boost, authentic knobs, etc. Mostly I want a module that is mine and mine alone. It's the Ikea analogy from Fight Club. What module defines me as a person????

Yes, I know ;)

To stay realistic, I'll keep my idea of a Krankenstein module.
Some Mark module are welcome too.

Mark2 C+ would be very cool. I'd LOVE to hear an EG1/2.

I have a ton of ideas, but I think they could all be derived from tweaking a current production module.

I've always thought that a low gain (beatles-y) and high gain (Orange-y) versions of the Vox would be cool. So you could have 4 channels of class-a-esque sound.

The EG3/4 tweaked out that I did is such a fantastic flavor too. Just a few simple changes, but It's another flavor of GREAT Egnater tone, in my opinion. I think it's awesome how the modules really can be a platform for ultimate customization.

Adam Jones in a module.

Edit: As far as I know there is nothing like this at the moment.

Dry, tight, low mid heavy, possibly some kind of petrol driven motor without spark plugs type deal...

I have a *huge* amount of overlap in my gain tones, even more so with modded and stock modules...I don't think there's much else to be done.

For example...DF modded Erect..overlaps with Mr Scary, Grail (and any similar recto type)...stock Erect (of course)...Deadplate (salvation)

Look at Salvations work maybe? I mean he's done Cobra and Diezel tones....they don't sound like something I'd be interested in..heck the Cobra sounds like noise to me...but may be different enough to other modules.

What about a Gorilla 1x10 combo??? I still have my vintage 1986 model in storage somewhere - I could ship it up to you guys for analysis...

I kid, I kid

I would REALLY like something along the lines of a Matchless (Clubman or DC30). There's a bazillion Marshall type choices, but only the one Vox module.
