Modded Marshall Hopkins - San Andreas

Additional Video Demo's as requested.

Amp in video is the actual amp for sale. I made one change which was to remove the "Low Input".

The Van Halen riffs are used only to demonstrate the tone I was working toward. The amp cleans up well when the guitar volume is rolled back.

This is in the family of amps modded by Jose Arredondo, Friedman, Cameron, Fortin & Gower as well as many others with my own implementations and assemblies etc... Though the amp uses clippers with 3 stages of gain it is NOT a Jose Master Volume so it is a bit more chewy retaining its feel and tone as the volume is increased.

Single Input High Gain. Fitted with a Metropoulos Zero Loss Effects Loop. Control Settings are Presence 6, Bass 10, Mids 5, Treble 5, Master Volume 1.5, Gain 6, Voice 8 & Depth (On Back 5).

Recorded with a Bluebird Large Diaphragm Condenser Mic. Recording is actual amp in video.

The Chassis and Electronics are in excellent condition. The Head Box is in good condition with some scrapes and a couple very small repaired tears in addition to the usual corner delamination repairs as seen in the photo's and video.

The amp ships CONUS ONLY. Ships UPS or FedEx.

I haven’t heard this amp in person but talked with Dave about the internals, can co-sign it probably rips, not to mention these are the best 1987x amps that we’re made.

Thank you my friend. Indeed I appreciate your ears and assists. Tone chasing and circuit manipulation is blast on our visits.

Yes.

The Metro Loop has a +4db /-20db switch on it for line level vs instrument level signals. It is by far the most superior Loop I have experienced. I have installed well over 100 of these loops.

In the Video I am using one of my Alesisi Quadraverbs from 1989 with adjustable send and return potentiometers built into it.

If you put a +4db signal into an input expecting -10db or -20db it will overload the input and you will get clipping. It just depends on what effects you are using as to how to set the internal switch. If so just flip the switch. I send all out set on -20db.

Thanks for the interest, David
