Have you ever forgotten that you owned an amp?

I had no internet signal so I'm going through old photos on my phone and I see a 6505 head sitting on my cab in my room from 2018. I have ZERO fucking memory of having or even playing that amp. I owned a 6505+ a couple of times and remember that. I briefly owned a block letter 5150 and I remember that. But I have no memory of that 6505. :doh: :LOL:

Power amps from old PA rigs. In fact I just spotted them in the garage last week and was like, "huh, forgot all about those".

Old Crown CE2000s. Wish I knew someone who needed them, I'd give them away. No one uses that heavy shit anymore. That's probably why they're in the garage all forgotten about.

Lol! That was pretty funny. Scary part is no to the meth or any other drug. I've actually been thinking of trying a 6505/5150 again just out of curiosity since I Thought the last time I played one was my block letter back in like 2008. Apparently I revisited that amp in 2018. I wish I could remember how I liked it. :LOL:
 
Yes. Every time I clean the garage, I find amps. Three days ago I found a Metro 100w high gain modded amp. The previous time I found a 50w Bluesbreaker 1x12 combo and one of my Scumback 50w 1987 amps I built in 2007. I can admit to being a hoarder...I have no choice.
 
Not Amps, but I do find pieces of gear that I’ve had for 10-15 years and forgot about every now then. Just never lucky enough for it to be worth anything haha maybe one day.
 
Yeah, I was going to say that I forget about amps that I currently own, I def have forgotten about crap I had years ago,, but I am getting old, so theres that. :LOL:
 
Okay, I looked up my order history on my GC app and apparently I ordered it on June 7th. The picture was from June 17th and it shows I returned it. Maybe there was a problem with it and I wasn't even able to play it. Either way I can't remember anything about it like unboxing it, attempting to play it or even returning it.
Now i kinda want it again. Too bad they're not $499 anymore.
 
No, I've never forgotten about an amp. Maybe packs of strings?

I've probably forgotten how many times ive owned a couple of the really common amps though.
 
to be fair, I love the 5150 series, so I've owned a bunch, and could forget maybe the exact model. The standard/+/II all have their idiosyncrasies, but they are all fun to play IMO. I haven't kept any long term, but I made sure friends of mine got the ones that sounded exceptionally good. I might be dumb, because they still have them, lol. :doh:
 
Not necessarily amps, but I’ve certainly forgot about pedals and pickups and other small stuff. For many years I kept my pedals sitting in milk crates. A year or so ago I pull them all out. Many I’ve never really play for more than a few minutes although having owned them for 20-30+ years. Same with speakers… when I painted my basement floor I had to move everything around. I found some speakers that I forgot about. So I moved them around then put them back where they were. Still don’t use them. 🤣

Like the OP mentioned, I’ve seen pics of gear I’ve owned and don’t really remember having owned stuff. 🤣
 
I couldn’t name all my amps off top of my head but I can remember who from and when I got them when looking at them directly. Guns are a way different story. If it wasn’t for my BATFE book of record I’d say “where the fuck did this come from?”
 
I moved across town almost 2 years ago. Just found a BluGuitar Iridium that I forgot was neatly packed away. Looking forward to plugging back into it!
