Has anyone here purchased a rack case from Affordable Cases, for their Diezel head or 4x12F cab? Are you happy with their quality? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

i did. i bought the full ata 1/2 "live in" with recessed handles. it is a great case and the guy was great to work with. he is here in st. louis (i think his name is bill barry). anyway, had no problems and it protected my vh4 great. i highly recommend them. only problem was the total weight of the amp in the case with the two lids on. just comes with the territory though. great case.

I bought this one- Diezel Herbert head, ATA airline-approved hardware construction with recessed hardware, recessed twist-turn latches, large steel ball corners, recessed handles, double lid design, 1" foam center section with cutouts for feet and handle + solid foam front/rear lids, 1/4" ply with black ABS laminate- Really nice case, completely satisfied, would do buisness with them again.

hey geek usa is your case one of the ones that has the amp on top and rack space on the bottom?

I would assume that the 1/2 ply would give it some considerable weight. Are you able to handle that case on your own without straining yourself before a gig? How long did it take for you to receive your case? The sales person I spoke with was one of the nicest people I've dealt with in a long while. Any pictures?

I bought a 1/2" full ata case for my Herbert from Affordable Cases. Very good experience overall. Good price, good customer service and fast turnaround. The case is rock solid. Would buy from them again.

What is the difference between 1/2" and 1/4" case?
1/4"=stronger and heavy?

Other way round. 1/2"=stronger and heavier. I've seen a few 1/4" cases and they really seem cheap in comparison. If you're just looking for something to offer a little protection and keep the dust out, 1/4" is fine. If you plan on taking it on tour, 1/2" all the way.

They're Brian Moore MC/1's. They were the first guitars Brian Moore designed after leaving Steinberger. They're graphite and wood construction, one piece body/neck. All they MC/1's are custom made and less than 900 exist, they are no longer
produced.

Thanks. Nice looking guitars.

FYI, I am getting close to pulling the trigger on a Affordable Live-In Case with 4 space rack above for my VH4-S. As well as a Live-In Case for my Diezel 4x12.

That's a lot of cash for cases, but will be worth it once were done with our album and gigging again.

Thanks for all the info in this thread guys! I just ordered a couple of the live-in cases for my Einstein & Herbert!

Anyone have a complete 1 peice live in unit, I.E. 4x12, Head, and Rack, all in one case? I have seen a few made like that, but I just couldn't imagine the weight..... But one case would be nice for everything....

I just received the live-in cases I purchased for my Einstein & Herbert! Excellent quality & construction, very fast turnaround time, & great service! I highly recommend this company! Unbeatable for the price IMHO.

I can personally reccommend Affordable cases, they have handbuilt 3 cases for me, each case is very nice and they protect the valuable goods inside them. All three of mine are orange in color, 2 of the 3 are live ins, so at the gig take off the front and back doors, and the Herbert and Uberschall are ready to launch.

Jay Barry is the guy to deal with, very professional and friendly, Here is a few pictures of my cases.
