Nothing is selling. Shit I'd have jumped at a year and a half ago is priced about 40-50% from where it was and I still won't buy it. Listing shit I have for 40% of new price absolutely mint...Just sitting. No offers and no messages. Lots of "that's sick. If I had money I'd buy it"

I dealt with the other side of this topic recently myself.

Guy has a 2023 Wildwood select 60's LP.
Wants $2600 with a blemish on the face of the head stock.

I tell him I have cash, and with the blemish I feel more comfortable around $2300.

Seller wont go below $2500.

Guitar is still for sale.

I end up buying used thru Wildwood...

Just like a boat...

The two best days owning a Harley...the day you buy it and the day you sell it.

I really shouldnt be so harsh on Harley, rode one for years with no issues other than maintenance and I do my own...

Day I brought her home.

I actually had some decent offers on a guitar I just sold on marketplace. I had an insane lowball offer on Reverb. But I know it happens everywhere, just crazy lowball trades or offers. Are they just fishing and hoping someone says yes? I think so, either that or they really don't know the true value of the items.

:D

I'll say the Headfirst Alta 100 Rev2 got my attention.

Besides I don't have 4 years to wait for a Larry; four years from now I know I'll want something different.
Thats why I never got a tattoo!

When my oldest son was a teenager him and his buddy messaged this girl about her grandfather’s truck that she was trying to sell. He had recently died. After a few texts back and forth about the truck my son’s buddy said “got any pics?” Couple minutes later the nasty bitch sent them a bunch of nude pics. Retard.
The only way that could be more 2024 is if she was really a he.

I think it’s just wishful thinkers, but I also think a lot of these guys can’t even afford to pay if someone takes the lowball offer. I very frequently will be following an item on Reverb and it will notify me that an offer has been made, and then the item will sell only to become available again a little while later. Lots of freaks out there making offers that when you accept, they simply don’t pay. What is the point??

There are too many people who just aren't serious buyers. They want the try-then-buy or buy-to-try options they get with retailers, while wanting the lower prices of private sales. They want to try gear out like you're a music store, instead of already knowing what they're getting, and just closing the deal. Some of the younger generations have grown up knowing nothing except overly permissive retailers who'll let them get away with almost anything. Pull down any guitar off the wall and try it out with their grubby hands and zippered hoodies, or return something in used condition that they bought new.

At a certain point, it's worth more to just donate it to a school and take the tax deduction.
