Headphone Volume Issue

I have a Torpedo Studio and can seem to get any reasonable volume out of the headphone output. The overall volume is low when going into my Apogee Duet as well. Ive read the manual several times and tweaked every conceivable knob and setting and still can seem to increase the volume with out clipping the input of output. Please help.

Hi Polodog,

What type of output are you using on the Torpedo Studio to go into you Apogee Duet?

What type of input are you using on the Duet?

Because if you use the balanced out on the Torpedo and either the mic or the line input on the Duet you should enter loud enough. Just so you know, it is standard to leave around 16 to 12dB of headroom on a track in case of a pick on the guitar/amp side, the Torpedo Studio delivers a huge dynamics, so if you want to touch the 0dB o you track that is definitely not a very good idea.

What is your peak level on the track when you set you Torpedo out around -6dB on peaks?
