First off, glad to be part of this forum. Lots of bright amp, and guitars guys. I ve been visiting for sometime to this forum, for ideas, problems, advice. I myself have own my rig for a year, bought new in 07'. vh4, 412r, columbus midi. Let me say what a learning lesson it has been with my rig. If your thinking of buying one, (Play one first) a fresh one. I was disappointed in the beginning. Was not hearing what everyone else was hearing. So I bought the cab, and still no luck at all. I then went to the (OWNERS MANUAL) 
I read that maybe tubes during transport may be damaged in shipping. And that they recommend V30 loaded cabs that they "normally" loaded with Diezel cabs. So to my surprise, and shock my rig was not to spec like the manual said. It was loaded with EL34, not 6L6s so I had them retube and rebias the amp with 6L6s and all new preamp tubes. The power tubes were gone, or how the tech put it (dead as door nails)-surprise. Next the cab which for some reason did not sound as good as the boogie cabs. I then had pulled the back panel -shock-not celestions- but a off brand of emience speakers. So I bought the Vintage 30s and had it them loaded into the cab. SO how did it turn out after all that--I now hear what everyone else is hearing. Blown AWAY!!!! Are they worth it?----Yes!!
