Was at practice tonight and my VH4 was delivering the rock as usual. Then I heard a loud pop and a lot of static noise afterwards. I checked in back of the head and 3 tube fault lights were on.

It is possible I blew 3 tubes at once or could it be something else?
The power tubes are maybe 2 months old.

Thanks!!!!

New tubes means not that they are ok.

Please replace the tube fault fuses (0,25 amps slow blow)
and give it a try. If the fuse(s) blow again send back
the quartet for warranty replacement.

Peter, I can only find 0.5 amp right now in my area. Is it safe to use them until it get the 0.25?

No. Espically as there is a very good chance that at least one of your tubes is faulty. You would be effectively doubling the current exposure of other componants before the fuse protects them. They might survive, but if you love your head, use the right ones. (If you don't love your head I can send you my postal address, I'll love it for you :D )

Heard a pop.....then went the weasel? BTW, what power tubes are you using?

Steve

Groove Tubes EL34's LS. This is my second Quad in this head and have never had any problems.
At one point I threw in a set of SED's but one of them farted out so I went back to the Groove Tubes.

I have been running Groove Tubes power tubes for years in old Marshalls and Dual Rect-HO
