Did anybody get any pics or video of the Hedgehog? I tried to get in there on Saturday, but the same couple of guys were in there with there tongues hanging out every time I went back. Probably because of Scott Henderson being in there.

Pat posted part 2 of his excellent vids with some Hedgehog footage-

Is that Pat from HRI? What does he look like? He probably was the one in there.

I wish we could have gone in there, it was f'n impossible to get in!

I played the Hedgehog Saturday morning for a while with one of Chris's Suhr Tele's and found it to be the most kick-ass little amp I have seen in that area of tones. I can't wait to get one as soon as they are available. It is EXACTLY what I have been searching for in this area for over a year now. I've looked into some Budda, Brownnote, Dr Z, Bogner, etc. stuff, but the Hedgehog is definitely my choice. I didn't hear it as a Dumble clone insofar as I am not really after that whole Ford, LC thing. I have been seeking something with a very organic sounding progression of gain textures that I can use in everything from bluegrass to fusion to rock places. I love how full, detailed and complex the mid gain tones of the Hedgehog feel with single coils, additionally the MIDI control features are brilliant, and on and on...

Glad you guys dug the Hedgehog. We really need to start working on some clips of our own that better captures the character of the amp. We'll get started on them soon. The Hedgehog's a hog's worth of great sounds in there. :D

Hey Ed,

Any idea on the price/availability yet?

Not finalized yet but it'll be very affordable for an amp in its class. We hope to have the pricing all figured out in a week or so and we expect to start shipping in late-March or early-April timeframe.

Will they have the wood plates? To be quite honest Im not big into the wood thing on head cabs but it sure wouldnt be a deal breaker.... Im just wondering.

I was just out at Suhr this week getting some work done on a guitar (thanks so much John and Ed) and had some more quality time cuddled up with the Hedgehog and my Suhr Classic Tele. I had some pedals with me to try it with, and well...after over an hour of playing that thing and setting up all sorts of cool tones with the programmable control features, I realized I never plugged in any of the pedals. The Hedgehog isn't a channel switcher, but it absolutely feels like one in terms of how many tone variates there are. One of the greatest limitations of some of the channel switchers out there is the lack of switching on boosts, bright, FX loops, etc. This one really has it all figured out. It's a very smart amp in terms of modern control expectations with a killer array of classic tones. The tone is the most important thing to me in the end though - it is just mega inspiring how many different places it takes you. I'm obsessed with this mean little beast!

i'm really looking forward to hearing the final outcome

from the brief time i heard it at namm, the cleans had the right blend of spank, compression, and vintage warmth

And the dirty tone was very big and mean and marshally.
