Helios 50 Variac switch

Hi. I just bought a Helios 50 Head. After reading the user manual I understood that if you have the Helios 100 and want to use the JTM-30 switch, you must halfen the Impendence. Do you need to do that when switching to the Variac switch on the Helios 50??

I would think it just lowers the voltage.

Ahhh, so the 50W Helios has a variac, but the hundred watt only has a 30W switch option…
I love the variac on the 100b's…

Probably just kicks in higher K power dropping resistors.
