I was watching the bogner video where he say's there's a volume loss in 80's mode which would normally mean the use of diodes for distortion. Anyone know whats going on? not against diodes or fets for distortion just curious. Looking to pull the trigger on a helios so trying to get info thanks for any help. Good vendor to buy from 50 vs 100?

Zener diode in 80s mode. 70s mode has a lot of gain, so I never use it. I bought from Brad King who runs this forum. Great service.

thanks for the help- can the clean channel do acdc type crunch without a pedal?

If you run the HOT input and run some volume then the "clean" channel can do ACDC without a pedal.

I really want one of this..trying to figure out a way to finance one!!!
I have a couple of 2X12 cabs with V30/GB speakers. How would the Helios sound with that speaker setup?

Credit card with sweetwater also if you don't like it send it back best way to check it out IMHO

In that video a Strymon El Capistan in the loop, running it with a bit of its built-in spring reverb emulation.

Strymon El Capistan great sound- love to have one of those - big bucks Did you ever use this delay in the bogner xtc?
