Hello Everyone!
I'm new here and I have a question for you guys...
First off, I bought a Diezel Einstein 100W Head a few weeks ago. It sounded absolutely awesome, as expected, but I had a few problems with it... it made strange noises (like a loud "POP" every now and then) when turned on standby and also really loud "EEK"-sounds when changing channels... the POP-noises occured every time i switched the power on - after like 20-30 seconds, when waiting for the tubes to warm up. The channel-switch-eeking occured only sometimes, and of course only when the amp was turned on... does anyone know what's happening here?
Ok, so I thought, mmh, I don't know how bad this is (remember, the sound itself when playing was great, no problems there) and how bad it might get at a later stage so I figured I might better send it back. As I didn't wanna go through all the hassle with warranty, waiting for it to be repaired, etc. and I still had a 30 Day money back option that's waht I did then... returning it and getting my money back.
Now, having done that I thought I'd just go and buy another one somewhere else. But now as it happens no f'in store in Germany seems to have them in stock!
Ok, so I'm thinking again, instead of getting a different one I might go just and buy the same one I had before again, but just wait for them to have it repaired...
I don't know what to do. What would you do, wait for a different one without issues to come into the stores? Or have this one repaired and buy it again? Or do you think it was a really serious problem?
Problem now is also, no one in the stores I called were able to tell me when the Einsteins would become available again... maybe one of you guys (especially Diezel guys) know better when that would be? Or know a store in Germany that has one available? I don't wanna buy a used one as I like buying new better and I'd like to support the company with my purchase.
OK so sorry for the long text but i'm confused and I'd appreciate your input!!
Cheers
