Just bought the Einstein combo. After about 2 week I notice that the amp had a strange hum that gets louder and softer when the amp is on but not being played. The master volume doesn't effect it at all but the deep level does make the hum deeper. It doesn't do it in stand-by either, and it doesn't matter if a guitar is plugged in.

The hum is not loud, it kinda sounds like the hum a television emits.

Here is the really wierd thing, If I tilt the amp at all in any direction it goes away for a second and then comes back.

It's not my power, it does it everywere.

Any Ideas ?

I would either call your dealer or Uwe Salwender (www.salwender.com). My guess is that it has a problem - a lose connection to the deep circuitry or something like that.

I figured it needs service, thanks for the service location.
Oh yeah, when I tilt the amp back it goes away completely. It doesn't come back unitil I put it back on it's 4 feet. This is why I didn't notice it right away. I use it on an amp stand.

Is there any way a preamp tube could cause this ?

Am I risking further damage to the amp by using it like this ?
